She Didn't Know What She Needed. That's Exactly Where we Come In.

By Gemma Montgomery | June 2026

There are clients who come to me knowing exactly what they want. They've done their research, they know their treatments, they have a clear goal in mind.

And then there are the ones who sit down, look at me and say: "I just know something has changed. I don't know what. I don't know where to start. I just don't look like me anymore."

This is the story of one of them. And she also happens to be one of my oldest school friends, who i'd not seen since 1995!

The Problem She Couldn't Name

She came to me in her mid-forties feeling like something had quietly shifted in her face. Not dramatically. Not overnight. Just gradually, over time, in that slow and subtle way that ageing tends to work. One day you catch yourself in the mirror and think: when did that happen?

She felt dull. Tired. Flat. Like her face had lost something she couldn't quite put her finger on.

I think so many women will recognise that feeling.

The frustrating thing about ageing is that when you see yourself every single day, it's almost impossible to see what's actually changed. You just know that something has. And without someone who truly understands facial anatomy, the ageing process, and how treatments can work together over time  it's incredibly easy to either do nothing at all, or reach for the wrong thing and not understand why it hasn't worked.

That's exactly where I came in.

Fresh Eyes and a Proper Plan

With two decades  of aesthetic nursing experience and the advantage of seeing her with fresh eyes, I could see clearly what she couldn't.

Subtle volume loss in the cheeks  creating that flat, elongated appearance she'd been feeling but couldn't name. Skin quality that had lost its luminosity, its bounce, its life. A face that needed structure restored before anything else would really land.

This is something I see constantly, and it's so important: the order of treatment matters enormously. You can't layer effectively without a plan. You can't achieve natural, lasting results by picking treatments at random or reacting to individual concerns in isolation. A good aesthetic plan looks at the whole face, understands how each element supports the next, and works thoughtfully over time.

So that's what we did.

The Treatment Plan

We approached her skin with a carefully considered combination of treatments:

Microneedling with exosomes to stimulate collagen production, improve skin texture and kickstart the skin's own renewal process from within.

Juvederm Hyaluronic Acid Dermal filler  Specifically to restore the cheek volume naturally that had been gradually lost, lifting and re-supporting the midface and bringing back that three-dimensional structure that gives a face its natural youthfulness.  This wasn't about big false looking cheeks, nut very subtle restoartion of what had been lost.

HarmonyCa  One of my absolute favourites, and a treatment I genuinely love for cases like hers. HarmonyCa is a hybrid injectable that combines immediate volumising support with long-term collagen stimulation, improving both structure and skin quality simultaneously. It's a brilliant treatment for women in their forties who want results that look natural and delicate, feel natural and keep improving over time.

Polynucleotides to deeply nourish the skin at a cellular level, improving hydration, elasticity and overall skin health, this was given around the eyes

Botox This was given delicately to soften the frown lines and gently lift and open the eye area.

Each treatment was chosen deliberately. Each one supported the next. That's what a layered approach looks like when it's done properly.

The Result

The results I feel were outstanding. No obvious overdone treated look.  Just a face that looks glowing, rested and rejuvenated.  One that screams "Gosh you're ooking really well".

Not because the change was dramatic, that was never the goal. The goal was to restore what time had quietly taken, in a way that looked completely and entirely like her.

She looked refreshed. Lifted. Luminous. Alive.

She told me she finally understood what people meant when they talked about wanting to look like a rested version of themselves. She got there  and she absolutely deserved every bit of it to match her happy, youthful radiant personality. ❤️

She wasn't on a formal treatment plan when she came to me. She came, she trusted me, and we worked through it together.

But her journey is the perfect example of why I created the Timeless Membership programmes.

Because the women who benefit most from what I do aren't always the ones who arrive knowing exactly what they want. Often, they're the ones who simply know something isn't quite right and what they need is someone they trust to help them see it clearly, plan it properly, and see it through.

A great aesthetic journey isn't about one treatment. It's about the right treatments, in the right order, at the right time, maintained consistently so that results build and last rather than fade between appointments.

That's the difference between dabbling and actually achieving the skin you want.

Could This Be You?

If you read her story and recognised yourself,  the tiredness, the flatness, the feeling that something has shifted but you can't quite put your finger on what we'd love to talk to you.

You don't need to come to me knowing what you need. That's our job.

What you do need is to be ready to commit to a consistent, thoughtful approach. Because that's where real results live.

If you'd like to explore a more planned, consistent approach to your own skin, the Timeless Membership is currently open for its June 2026 intake  the final opening for the foreseeable future. Packages start from £47.50 per month, all packages come with complimentary treatments worth up to £350 for higher tier bespoke packages. You can browse all packages and find out more here:
